Why we believe recruitment needs a reset
We don’t think the world needs “yet another HR tool”. What it needs is a different way of thinking about access to work.
We are convinced that:
- Employees are a company’s most strategic asset.
- When the right person joins the right team, performance and engagement follow.
- Access to opportunities should depend more on potential than on network or “perfect” CVs.
Today, too many processes still filter people out based on form: education level, layout of a CV, jargon in a cover letter. Meanwhile, roles stay open, teams are understaffed, and candidates give up mid-process.
HooRa exists to shift the focus back to skills, attitude and fit, and to open doors for talents who are often invisible in traditional channels.
What makes HooRa different
Lots of solutions promise “faster” or “cheaper” recruitment.
We built HooRa around five principles that go further:
- We start with people, not CVs. Every journey we design begins with the candidate: What do they see first? How easy is it to raise their hand? How clearly do they understand the job? We create mobile-first journeys that allow people to show who they are and how they think – often in just a few minutes, sometimes even without a CV. The process is structured, but never dehumanised.
- We go where talent already is. The best candidates for frontline and operational roles are not refreshing job boards all day. They’re working, studying, or scrolling on their phone. HooRa uses targeted social and digital campaigns to reach these people where they spend their time, in the language and format that speak to them.
- We use technology to reduce bias, not to replace humans. AI and automation can help standardise questions, compare answers and surface insights. But decisions remain human. We design our tools so that: every candidate is assessed on the same criteria, recruiters gain clear, usable information, and candidates can express themselves authentically. Transparency and ethics are non-negotiable for us.
- We design for the reality of HR teams. Most HR and line managers don’t have extra hours to“play” with tools. They need clarity, not complexity. HooRa brings everything together in one place – campaigns, applications, interviews, scores – so teams can see at a glance where they stand and where to act. Less admin, more time with people.
